About the Virtual Meeting

Join us as we welcome Steve Bogash from Penn State University Extension and the ProFarm Group to discuss a one-by-one nutrient program for tomatoes in high tunnels and greenhouses.

Bogash says that “achieving the greatest yields of the highest quality tomatoes (and peppers) demands that growers plan their nutrition program long before the first plants are getting transplanted. Growers must avoid existing soil disease challenges, water and soil pH issues (mostly pH that is too high), rebuilding or building a nutrition injection system that is accurate and reliable, application of manures, composts and other ‘green’ amendments, application of granular and related bulk dry nutrients including gypsum, then once planted, planning and managing the injection of nutrients to maintain healthy, high yielding plants, and the application of foliar nutrients to fine tune production, plant health and fruit quality.”
